Soap For Sudan
Sudan is home to the largest humanitarian crisis in the world
It is also the largest and fastest crisis of displaced people due to civil war. This is what makes it one of the most difficult places in the world to access resources, opportunities, and economic stability. In many remote communities, essential goods like soap are expensive and nearly impossible to obtain due to distant supply chains, internal conflict and limited infrastructure. Yet these communities are filled with resilient leaders who are eager to learn and create new opportunities for their families.
When you give to Soap for Sudan, you are directly helping participants receive training and launch their own soap-making businesses. This is not just about soap, it's about entire communities experiencing hope - and a vision of what 'could be' in the midst of chaos and crisis.

What is Soap for sudan?
Soap for Sudan is an initiative of the Elevate People Project, focused on providing practical, hope-filled support in the Nuba Mountains region of Sudan.
We are partnering with local leaders on the ground to help create opportunities where access to jobs, training, and sustainable business development is limited.
Our first initiative? African black soap! A business utilizing local resources to create value, restore dignity, and begin long-term impact for families.
This is more than a relief effort.
It’s an investment in people and what they are capable of!

A Gift For You
Our friends at Pacha Soap Co are also on a mission to provide artisanal products that empower people around the world. As a thank-you, they are gifting each donor (of $50 or more) to 'Soap for Sudan' a bar of Pacha Soap* to remember your global impact with each wash.

Give $50+ and Receive Soapwhy sudan? Why now?
For years, Elevate has worked alongside local partners across many countries, including several on the African continent. Our focus is on helping equip communities with the tools, training, and opportunities needed to start and grow small businesses.
Through these partnerships, Elevate’s team discovered a remote community in Sudan where something powerful stood out.
The resources to meet a deep need for soap that they had were already there. The determination was already there. The desire to build stronger communities was already there.
What was missing was knowledge, access to training and a viable opportunity.
Soap-making became a powerful entry point — because it solves two urgent challenges at once. It addresses critical hygiene and sanitation needs, and it creates sustainable income through small businesses within the community.

why soap?
Soap may seem simple to us, we see it everywhere and never run out. But in communities like this, it can become something powerful, a catalyst for lasting change.
African black soap represents more than a product — it’s a practical business opportunity that can create jobs, generate income, and serve local communities long-term.
Through this initiative, we have the opportunity to help kick-start businesses that equip people with the tools to work, provide for their families, and build a better future.
Something small in your hands can become something life-changing in theirs.

Together, we can Elevate the people of Sudan
Recently, we received a matching grant for this work, giving us all the opportunity to expand our imact in a significant way!
If the Elevate community raises all $27,000, our grant partner will unlock an additional $27,000, which will fully fund this initiative.
If we raise it, they will match it. If we don't, only what we raise will get released in the match. Let's go Elevate community, let's match it all.
