3 unique women. One calling. What motherhood means to women we know and love.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13
Really mom?
All these years, and you still manage to show up with love?
With grace?
As we get older, there are so many things we want to learn from you.
Like how do you do it? I mean, how do you really do it?
we marvel..
First in deep awe and admiration,
and then we remember what you've always taught us.
Our strength comes from the One who called you His from the very beginning of time.
And we are reminded just of the type of women we want to become in this world -  those who are given to His purpose, and His plan.
Who lives surrendered to His gentle love and faithfulness.
Mom, there might be a whole world in you waiting to be discovered, but we promise - what we see is exactly what's going to change this world
For all your givenness, whether it's rising early with a smile, or cutting the crust off two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, your example is His glory.
Thank you for leading well.
We hope you'll enjoy reading about three very special women we so admire and love in our lives. They are leading and leaving a legacy of the type of women we hope and strive to be.

What does motherhood mean to you?
The only thing I ever wanted to be from the time I was a little girl was to be a wife and a mother. Probably because my mom is truly one of the best. So motherhood has been the fulfillment of one of my greatest dream.
How has being a mom/or becoming a mom changed/impacted you?
I find myself in a stage of life where I'm cheering them on to be the best they can be. I love how they are challenging me to dig deeper, to always grow and to stretch myself into trying new things.
What are you celebrating this Mother's Day?
What I celebrate Mother's Day is summed up in 3 John 1:4, "I have no greater joy than to see my children walking with the truth." That has been my goal to see my children love God and love people. They are all doing that so well.
If you had one word of advice to any woman, what would it be?
My advice is give yourself grace. We all begin this journey of mothering/womanhood wanting to be perfect but no matter how hard we try we can't be. We will fail. We all make mistakes, but that's when they (our kids) really need you to believe in them.
Favorite Elevate bag?

The Traveler's Tote is my Sunday morning teacher bag. The bucket bag is my travel and event bag and the crossbody and tri-fold wallet are for everyday. I love them all!

What does motherhood mean to you?

To me, motherhood means sacrifice, surrender, and big, unconditional love. It is a miracle, and a gift -  one that I cannot wait to receive someday soon. I was blessed to have a wonderful mother and grandmothers while growing up - and they have been amazing examples of what it means to be a mother.

How has being a mom/or becoming a mom changed/impacted you?

Through my own journey to begin our family, I have really come to appreciate all types of motherhood, and the importance of embracing all mother figures on Mother's Day. To all the moms, hopeful mamas, birth mothers, mothers who have experienced loss, and mother figures of all kinds - know that you are seen, known, and appreciated on Mother's Day and every day. You are a light in the world and your story matters more than you know.

What are you celebrating this Mother's Day?

This Mother's Day, I am celebrating the moms in my life and remembering all the mother figures who are no longer with me. I'm also celebrating my personal journey to motherhood. As a hopeful adoptive mama, my heart is full this year as we joyfully wait to welcome a child into our home. The wait has been long, and the journey has been difficult. But, I know when the time is just right, we will be abundantly blessed and grateful for the gift of adoption.

If you had one word of advice to any woman, what would it be?

One piece of advice I have is to seek peace in your current season. Our God is never late, and each experience you have in life is part of a bigger story. You are learning, and growing, and building resilience in difficult seasons of life. What a blessing it can be to embrace your journey - even when it's far from what you thought it might look like. God just might be preparing you for something greater than you could have ever imagined.

 Favorite Elevate bag?

My favorite bag is the mini tote crossbody! I have it in the camel color and love the size for an everyday purse. It is structured enough that it's very easy to find what I'm looking for and the interior pockets add extra organization. It holds everything I need without being too large or bulky and even fits my mini wallet from Elevate!

What does motherhood mean to you?

To me, being a mom means pouring myself out so I can be filled up with the Great I Am and his purpose for me! Raising children is a selfless, weighty role that can leave me feeling completely given away every minute of the day, especially as I have toddlers who are supernaturally speedy, hungry and needy.  Being a mom also means taking the responsibility of teaching my kids about our Big God and his heart for the world so seriously!

How has being a mom/or becoming a mom changed/impacted you?

More than anything, being a mother has taught me humility. My experience of motherhood has shown me that I am desperate for Jesus to help me! There is a sense of brokenness found in being a mother that has taught me to bend my knees and heart in submission to One far wiser and better than myself.

What are you celebrating this Mother's Day?

I’m celebrating the small, seemingly insignificant moments this Mother’s Day. I was recently reminded of how short life can be and that one of our most precious gifts is the present. So often as a mother I find myself looking forward to certain moments, when in reality, the best moment is the one I’m fully engaged in.

If you had one word of advice to any woman, what would it be?

Know who you are and who you were created to be. Being a woman is such a precious gift but so often we don’t fully embrace our role in life, whatever that is, because we don’t really own our identity. Find your security in what cannot be taken from you, that which is eternal and comes from Jesus.

Favorite Elevate bag?

I love ALL of my Elevate bags, but my favorite is the Utility Bag. It is magical. In the season of life I’m in right now it functions as my diaper/everything bag.  It is so roomy and I love having the pockets on the inside to keep snacks, crayons, toys and more snacks contained! There is enough room to put my personal items in too, so I only have to take one bag with us when we go on short outings.
